This modality includes a broad spectrum of techniques including stretching, range of motion, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, Swedish and deep tissue massage. Techniques and pressure applied depend on the type and phase of training of the athlete to maximize benefits, expedite recovery, and improve performance. Although sports is in the name, one does not have to be an athlete to receive this type of bodywork. Clients are advised to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing as many sessions include passive and active stretching.
